Presented by Deep Vellum, SMU Pollock Gallery, and RISO BAR
Join Deep Vellum, SMU Pollock Gallery, and featured residents RISO BAR for a conversation on printing and bookmaking, and their roles in protest work.
Riso has been a definitive creative tool for artists and designers, useful due to its simplicity and experimental possibilities. In 2020, a quickly-changing world demands on-the-go and DIY responses from creatives and activists. Who has used these technologies to their greatest effects? How can we implement the ideologies behind risograph printing during a pandemic in a digital era? We will be asking these questions and more.
Deep Vellum will be working with RISO BAR to complete chapbooks by Dallas poets in the fall of 2020.
