Writers and journalists who’ve lived and worked in the former USSR will join prominent Ukrainian writer Andrei Kurkov in sharing work that relates to the war in Ukraine. Hear from Katya Cengel (From Chernobyl With Love), Simon Shuster (The Fight Is Here, June 2023), Masha Rumer (Parenting With An Accent), Olga Zilberbourg (Like Water and Other Stories), Sasha Vasilyuk (Your Presence Is Mandatory, April 2024), Vlada Teper, and Maggie Levantovskaya. Held in Ukrainian-owned venue that donates part of proceeds to Ukraine, the readings will be followed by drinks & swing dancing. This is a free event but signup is required.
