Deep Vellum invites you to an evening celebrating The River of Blessings through performance and conversation at Halperin Park. The River of Blessings, the third and final installment in David Marquis’ River Trilogy, is a lyrical meditation on the unpredictable movements of life and the stream of blessings that come in their own, unpredictable time with the pursuit of goodness.

Join us for complimentary drinks and a live reading and musical performance by Marquis, Neeki Bey, and Denise Lee. Entertainment will be followed by an engaging discussion around the question: How much good can one book do?

This is more than a book launch. It is an opportunity to explore how story and art can deepen the public conversation around conservation—and how cultural experiences can connect us to the sanctity of our environment.

This event is made possible through the support of The Nature Conservancy and Frost Bank.
