Call for Departmental Interns: Summer 2026

Deep Vellum seeks interns for part-time educational internships for Summer 2026, running from June through August. All internships are remote unless otherwise specified. Interns will work on a variety of titles from the catalogs of Deep Vellum and our imprints, including Dalkey Archive.

This call is open through May 15, 2026.

Through this internship, regardless of the position you choose, you will learn the ins and outs of working at an independent publisher and will get face time with various departments. Our goal is that by the end of the season, you’re able to use the vocabulary of a small publisher, know your way around the departments, and have learned more about what it takes to bring out a book and support its journey.

To apply, please send an email to jobs@deepvellum.org. In the title of your email, please use the phrase “Internship Summer 2026.” In your email, please attach your resume and cover letter, and indicate the departmental position for which you’d like to be considered. Please select one department only. This is an unpaid position.
