NAVIGATING THE FESTIVAL

The Deep Vellum Music & Literature Festival has events at 11 venues across Deep Ellum. Deep Ellum is one of Dallas’s most iconic neighborhoods, known for its rich Black history, vibrant street art, live music legacy, and creative entrepreneurship. It is home to a growing network of cultural spaces, including art galleries, music venues, theaters, bookstores, and public murals.

The neighborhood was designated a Cultural District by the Texas Commission on the Arts in 2020.

Getting to the Festival

Deep Ellum is a very walkable neighborhood. There are many options for getting here.

Public Transportation

Deep Ellum has two DART Rail stops. The Deep Ellum Station is located at the intersection of Good Latimer and Swiss Avenue and the Baylor Station is located at the intersection of Malcolm X Boulevard and Junius Street.

Parking

Street parking and lots are available throughout the neighborhood. Free street parking is available daily from 12:00 AM to 6:00 PM. From 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM, meters require payment.

Construction in Deep Ellum

Deep Ellum is in the final phases of a neighborhood infrastructure upgrade. Due to this project, there is construction on Commerce Street. However, the street is still navigable for pedestrians and drivers. Drivers might have to occasionally adhere to slight detours as a result of this construction.
