Julia WONG Kcomt
Julia Wong Kcomt was born in Chepén, a city in northwest Peru, to a Tusán (Chinese-Peruvian) family. After studying political science and Law at the University of Lima, her academic career took her to Germany, and later, Macao. Compounded with her travels as a child, this period influenced her perceptions of identity, culture, and borders, greatly influencing her writing. In March of 2024, she lost her battle with breast cancer. Her body of work includes four novellas, two short story collections, and twenty books of poetry, including A Blind Salmon.
